New update to CS2 on 07/23/24

Dust 2

Tonight Valve released a small update for Counter-Strike 2. The most significant change was a modification to the crate stack near the CT spavin on Dust2. This update allows players to reach the Catwalk from the crate stack on their own, without needing the help of a second player.

Today's Dust 2 update is the first since the map returned to the competitive pool in April in place of Overpass.

Nuke, Assembly, Memento

In addition to changes to the crates on Dust2, the update also includes minor collision adjustments to the Nuke map and updates to the newly introduced Assembly and Memento workshop maps.

Other updates

  • The winners of CS2's first major, NAVI, have finally received their in-game trophies. This comes 114 days after Born to Win achieved the status of CS2 First Major champions.
  • Other playoff participants were not forgotten either: Players from Faze, Vitality, G2, Spirit, Eternal Fire, MOUZ, Cloud9 also received their in-game silver-colored trophies.
  • Added official game servers in London.
  • Reduced the penetration of fire effects through thin walls.
  • Added cs_minimap_create_output_size setting for Counter-Strike 2 workshop tools.
